The Bedford Outdoor Pool is located on Shore Drive in Bedford. This outdoor pool has two separate pool areas and a variety of play features providing swimming opportunities for all ages. The Bedford Outdoor pool offers a variety of activities such as lane swimming, swimming lessons & open swims.

Memberships & Drop-in Fees
The Bedford Outdoor pool offers seasonal memberships for adults, seniors, youth and households (2 adults + children 18 & under, living at the same address). Memberships are now available from following locations:
- Lebrun Recreation Centre (36 Holland Avenue, Bedford)
- Bedford-Hammonds Plains Community Centre (202 Innovation Drive, Bedford)
- Sackville Sports Stadium (409 Glendale Drive, Lower Sackville)
- Cole Harbour Place (51 Forest Hills Parkway, Dartmouth)
- Findlay Community Centre (26 Elliot Street, Dartmouth)
- Needham Community Centre (3372 Devonshire Avenue, Halifax)
- Captain William Spry Community Centre (16 Sussex Street, Halifax)
Swim Fees: $2 (tax included) per person per swim. Payment for open swims and lane swims will be taken directly at the pool via cash, credit, or debit. Pre-booking swims is NOT required.
- What do they include?
Memberships, 1 visit Facility Pass, & 10 visit facility pass include access to the pool, when available.
1 visit pool pass includes both Aquafit and Lane Swimming.
1 visit open swim pass includes open swims and Parent & Tot.
- How much does it cost?
The fees listed below are effective April 1, 2025.

Youth Rates: $55.71 - Individuals up to & including 18 years of age.
Adult Rates: $74.28 - Individuals 19 to 54 years of age.
Senior Rates: $55.71 - Individuals 55 years of age or older.
Household Rates: $148.57 - 2 adults + all children 18 & under, living at the same address

- Please note registration for swimming lessons is not available onsite at the Bedford Outdoor Pool ; registrations can be completed online or in person at the Lebrun Recreation Centre (36 Holland Avenue, Bedford) between 8:30 a.m. -4:00 p.m. Monday -Friday

Activity Bookings
Booking in advance will NOT be required for summer 2025.
Changerooms
Changerooms will be available this summer, including on-deck showers.
Rentals
Outdoor Pools no longer offer private pool rentals. Groups are welcome to attend public swims. Please come early to secure your spot.
Ratios & Age Guidelines
- Pool Ratios
1 adult for every 3 children under the age of 8.
- Age Guidelines
Children 7 and under
Children 7 years old or younger must have a parent or guardian (18 years or older) within arms reach at all times, to a maximum of 3 children per adult.
Children between 8 and 11
Children between the ages of 8 and 11 must have a parent or guardian (18 years or older), at the facility, in case of an emergency.
Youth 12 - 17
Youth between the ages of 12 and 17 can use the facility on their own, but cannot act as a guardian for children 11 and under.
