POOL Closure

The wave pool will be closed starting December 19th until February 5th for maintenance to the pool tank. If you wish to have your membership frozen during this time please contact the front desk.

 

NEW Fee Structure

On April 1, 2022 the Parks and Recreation Fee structure will be changing. These changes will affect all recreation services; programs, rentals, drop ins, voucher and memberships fees.  Follow the below link for more details.

Activity Bookings

Access to the Aquatic and Fitness Centre are available through booking only, bookings can be made Online, in person at the centre, by calling the front desk at 902-477-7665 or alternatively by calling 902-490-6666.

 

Facility Description

Captain William Spry Community Centre has:

  • eight meeting rooms
  • four bathrooms

  •  pool
  •  fitness centre

Spryfield Wave Pool 

  • 4-lane, 25-metre lap area
  • 15-metre diameter graduated beach area 
  • waves from 1/2–1 1/2 metres 
  • 5 in-pool therapeutic water jets 
  • slide
  • climbing wall
  • deckside patio area 

Spryfield Wave Pool is wheelchair accessible.

Fitness Centre Equipment 

  • treadmills and exercise bikes
  • Smith machine
  • stability ball, resistance tubing, matts
  • dumbbells
  • barbells
  • air-conditioning
  • weight stack strength machines
  • elliptical cross trainers
  • locker and shower facilities

Membership & Drop-in Fees

What do they include?
Memberships, 1 visit Facility Pass, & 10 visit facility pass include all day access to both the pool and the fitness Centre. 

1 visit pool pass includes both Aquafit and Lane Swimming.

1 visit open swim pass includes open swims and Parent & Tot.

How much does it cost?
Fees listed below are effective April 1, 2022.  PIF (Paid in full at time of Purchase) & Rolling (Fee charged automatically monthly).

Youth Rates Apply to: Individuals up to and including 18 years of age.

Adult Rates Apply to: Individuals 19 to 54 years of age.

Senior Rates Apply to: Individuals 55 years of age or older.

Household Rates Apply to: Maximum of 5 people from the same household (address).

How to book

Before you apply for a Recreation Centre rental, download and complete a facility rental request form.

One-time bookings:

For a one-time booking (birthday party, meeting, wedding, tournament, special event), contact the recreation centre directly with the completed form.

Recurring bookings:

For seasonal recurring bookings, email a completed application form to the Booking Contact person indicated in the Recreation Centre Listing chart on the Recreation Centre Booking & Rentals (Insert Link) web page.
