If you have lost something on a bus or ferry in Halifax, there's a good chance that Halifax Transit has it.
Halifax Transit’s Lost and Found office is located at the Bridge Terminal and is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed on holidays. Please call 902.490.6617 to inquire if the item has been turned in. There is no emergency service outside of these hours.
The municipal government assumes no responsibility for passengers’ personal belongings left behind. Please note that Halifax Transit will dispose of perishable items immediately and may dispose of other lost and found items after 30 days by such manner as it determines appropriate.
Individuals claiming lost items must provide sufficient evidence of ownership, such as detailed description or proof of purchase.
Upon satisfaction of verification, the Lost and Found Department will release the item to the rightful owner.
