Ferry
(Friday, Jan. 30, 3026) The Vincent Coleman ferry is now expected to return to service by late February, rather than at the end of January as previously announced. As a result, the Alderney ferry will continue operating every 30 minutes on weekdays, from 7 a.m. to 8:15 p.m., until further notice.

Update – Alderney Ferry service reduction until further notice
(Monday, Jan. 12, 2026) Please be advised that the Alderney Ferry service is running on a 30 min schedule until further notice, due to maintenance. Ferries will depart Alderney at XX:00 & XX:30. Ferries will depart Halifax at xx:15 & xx:45. Woodside Ferry service is not impacted at this time. Shuttles will be provided.

The existing continuous lane from the outbound Massachusetts Avenue ramp toward the Windsor Street Exchange will be removed following the Dec. 6-7 overnight construction.
This is expected to cause delays for buses using Massachusetts Ave during PM peak, meaning Express Routes 135, 136, 137, and 138 will need to be re-routed. These detours are expected to be in place for approximately two years.
