Halifax is working to make riding a bicycle more safe, comfortable, and convenient for people of all ages and abilities. As we continue to grow our network of cycling infrastructure, we are building new facilities that are different from anything we've ever built before. To support cycling as a transportation option in our municipality, we use protected bicycle lanes, local street bikeways, multi-use pathways, and conventional bicycle lanes in different contexts. To learn more about each of these facility types and how to use them, click through each entry in the Bicycle Facility Dictionary.
