Community associations in HRM play a significant role in operating and maintaining over 60% of the HRM’s Regional AT network (outside the Regional Centre), especially on Provincial owned lands. They are continuing to expand the network as well as promote and educate the public about walking and cycling.
Active Transportation (AT) Grants Program recognizes the value of volunteer organizations in meeting HRM’s AT objectives by supporting their work with matching funds.
