Canadian Navigable Waters Act
Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) hereby gives notice that an application has been made to the Minister of Transport, pursuant to the Canadian Navigable Waters Act for approval of the following work described herein and its site and plans.
Pursuant to paragraph 7(2) of the said Act, HRM has deposited with the Minister of Transport, on the on-line Common Project Search Registry (http://cps.canada.ca/), under Registry Number 12531, a description of the following work, its site location and plans for the replacement of Walkers Bridge (BR057), located where Salmon River Drive crosses the Little Salmon River in Westphal, NS at approximately 44°42'08.4"N and 63°27'38.5"W.
Comments regarding the effect of either of these works on marine navigation can be sent through the Common Project Search site mentioned above under the Comment section (search by the above referenced number) or if you do not have access to the internet, by sending your comments directly to:

Project overview
The Salmon River Drive bridge (Walker's Bridge) replacement project involves replacing the existing bridge to ensure long-term safety and reliability for motorists and pedestrians. Construction is expected to take place over two years in 2025 and 2026.
