Community Employment Circle hosted by HRM's African Nova Scotian Affairs Integration Office (ANSAIO), will connect community members with various HRM departments to learn about employment opportunities and services provided.

Here We Code: Tech Career Fair hosted by Dalhousie University, will connect post-secondary students with upcoming tech opportunities directly with Nova Scotian companies.

Super Connector Panel Discussion Event hosted by Halifax Partnerships, will join Halifax-based business owners and operators, managers, civil servants, and community leaders with Halifax Partnership Connectors through an engaging panel discussion.
Date: Wednesday, September 25 from 4:30pm to 6pm

Fall Job Fair hosted by Opportunity Place - Nova Scotia Works, will connect job seekers with local employers across a variety of industries. 
Date: Friday, October 18 from 11am to 4pm
Location: Zatzman Sportsplex (110 Wyse Road, Dartmouth)

Halifax Universities Career Fair presents an opportunity for students and recent alumni across Nova Scotia to create meaningful connections with leading organizations.
Date: Wednesday, October 23 from 10am to 3pm
Location: Halifax Convention Centre (1650 Argyle St, Halifax)

Halifax Job Fair hosted by Career Fair Canada, will provide access for job seekers to explore employment opportunities in Halifax.
Date: Wednesday, November 6 from 10am to 2pm

The municipality is proud to have been selected for three Top Employer awards for 2024.  Administered by the Canada’s Top Employer project, these awards recognize employers that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work and progressive human resources programs and policies.

This year, the municipality has been designated as one of Atlantic Canada's Top Employers (2024), Nova Scotia's Top Employers (2024), and Canada’s Top Employers for Young People (2024).

This is the third consecutive year that the municipality has applied for, and received, the Atlantic Canada's and Nova Scotia's Top Employers (2024) awards and the second time the municipality has applied for and been recognized in the Canada’s Top Employers for Young People (2024) category. 

For selection as one of Atlantic Canada's and Nova Scotia's Top Employers, the municipality was acknowledged for its in-house wellness programming, mental health coverage, paid sick days, strong benefits package and pension plan. It was also recognized for its hybrid work options, transit subsidies, subsidized parking, and a variety of onsite amenities, including an onsite fitness facility at the municipality's head office. For selection as one of Canada's Top Employers for Young People, the municipality was acknowledged for helping recent graduates get started on their careers through the Bridging the Gap Internship.
