9.2.1 Immediate Action Concerning Specific Properties
Motion:
That the Heritage Advisory Committee recommend that Halifax Regional Council request a staff report to:
1. Direct Heritage Planning Staff to review and, if appropriate based on the criteria in the Heritage Property Act and By-law H-200, prioritize the preparation of formal Heritage Reports for 2494, 2500, and 2511/2516 Robie Street;
2. Direct Heritage Planning Staff to review and, if appropriate based on the criteria in the Heritage Property Act and By-law H-200, prioritize the preparation of a formal Heritage Report for 5816 North Street, if a valid third-party heritage application is received; and
3. Explore the feasibility, resource implications, and anticipated timelines to prioritize the completion of Heritage Reports on the properties identified in parts 1 and 2 of the motion as well as future properties under imminent threat of demolition.
