The 2025-2028 Accessibility Strategy builds upon the Diversity & Inclusion Framework and the Nova Scotia Accessibility Act to outline 30 recommendations for improving accessibility and representation for individuals with disabilities. The recommendations are to be completed over a three-year period and represent a call to action to create a municipality that is accessible to all, regardless of ability.
The Strategy recommendations fall under five key areas: transportation & transportation infrastructure, built environment, information & communications, goods & services, and employment.
The municipality is developing a condensed version of the 2025-2028 Accessibility Strategy which will be available on this page when complete.
