BY-LAW P-1204, RESPECTING ON-STREET PARKING PERMITS

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that By-law P-1204, Respecting On-Street Parking Permits was adopted by Halifax Regional Council on January 13, 2026.

By-law P-1204 amends By-law P-1200, Respecting On-Street Parking Permits. The purpose of the amendment is to adopt a weight-based pricing model for Annual Resident Parking Permits, replacing the current flat-rate system to ensure permit fees are commensurate with a vehicle's impact on municipal infrastructure.

BY-LAW B-403 RESPECTING BURGLARY, ROBBERY AND FIRE ALARM SYSTEMS

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that By-law B-403, Respecting Burglary, Robbery and Fire Alarm Systems was adopted by Halifax Regional Council on January 13, 2026.

By-law B-403 amends By-law B-400, Respecting Burglary, Robbery and Fire Alarm Systems. The purpose of the amendment is to implement a flat fee for false alarms and to provide greater clarity when a false alarm fee is applicable.

BY-LAW T-1008 RESPECTING THE AMENDMENT OF BY-LAW T-1000, RESPECTING THE REGULATION OF TAXIS, ACCESSIBLE TAXIS, LIMOUSINES AND TRANSPORTATION NETWORK COMPANIES

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that By-law T-1008, Respecting the Amendment of By-Law T-1000, Respecting the Regulation Of Taxis, Accessible Taxis, Limousines and Transportation Network Companies was adopted by Halifax Regional Council on February 24, 2026.

By-law T-1008 amends By-law T-1000, Respecting the Regulation of Taxis, Accessible Taxis, Limousines and Transportation Network Companies. The purpose of the amendments is to modernize regulations for taxis, accessible taxis, and limousines.

BY-LAW P-104, RESPECTING THE BOARD OF POLICE COMMISSIONERS FOR THE HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that By-law P-104, Respecting The Board of Police Commissioners for The Halifax Regional Municipality was adopted by Halifax Regional Council on October 1, 2024.

By-law P-104 amends By-law P-100, Respecting The Board of Police Commissioners for The Halifax Regional Municipality. The purpose of the amendment is to include language defining the role of the Commissioner of Public Safety position, and the clarification of the respective roles and responsibilities of the Board, the Commissioner and different business units of the Municipality.
