The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that due to the presence of a possible blue-green algae bloom, a risk advisory is in effect for the off-leash dog area of Shubie Park Beach at Lake Micmac in Dartmouth. Residents are encouraged to avoid swimming in and taking their pets near the lake until further notice.
