Update: The Halifax Regional Municipality, in partnership with the Province of Nova Scotia, is ending its drinking water distribution program on Dec. 14. The municipality has experienced significant rainfall over the last several weeks, with water levels in private wells returning to normal.
Drinking water pickup locations
The municipality is following provincial guidelines, provided by the Canadian Red Cross, and offering up to four litres of water per person per day. Water is also available for pets, based on their weight. This process will remain in place until Dec. 14, 2025.
All locations offer water pick-up on Sundays, 6 to 8 p.m., unless otherwise indicated.
