The municipality’s cyclical tree pruning program is now underway. Proactive tree pruning activities, as outlined in the Urban Forest Master Plan, improve the health of the urban canopy of street trees, ensuring longer lived trees, while reducing damage to trees and local infrastructure due to weather events.

Police are investigating a report of threats in relation to the QEII Hospital. The investigation is in the early stages but at this time, investigators do not believe there is a concern for public safety.
