In November 2023, Bill no 329 was passed, an Act to Amend Chapter 39 of the Acts of 2008, the Halifax Regional Municipality Charter, and Chapter 21 of the Acts of 2021, the Housing in the Halifax Regional Municipality Act.
Bill 329 gives the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing the ability to exercise any power under this act or the regulations at the Minister's sole discretion.
