Bedford Days

Bedford Days events are happening from June 21 to July 1, 2023.  Please see below all the exciting details.  All events are free unless otherwise noted.

Bedford Days Schedule

Wednesday June 21

  • National Indigenous Peoples Day | Sunnyside Mall
    • Indigenous art is being displayed in the Sunnyside Mall from June 21 until June 27 during mall hours

Saturday June 24

  • Bedford Days Market** | Dewolf Park | 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
    • A beautiful, curated selection of multiple vendors dedicated to our Bedford Days celebrations; items require purchase.
    • Rain date: Sunday June 25
  • Scott Manor House – Georgian Social** | Scott Manor House, 15 Fort Sackville Road | 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
    • The Fort Sackville Foundation is pleased to invite the public to a Georgian Social. Enjoy performances of the pipes and drums of the Clan Farqhuarson while we will be serving lemonade and our famous home- baked oatcake cookie.
  • Rouge & Blanc (19+ food and wine event) | Sunnyside Mall | 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
    Drink responsibly
    • Evening includes free hors d’oeuvres from local restaurants, wine tasting, live music and entertainment from local dance groups.  Special thanks to all the participating restaurants and Harvest Beer Wine Spirits.  www.Harvestwines.ca
    • If you chose to consume alcohol, we encourage you to follow The National Low Risk Drinking Guidelines.  The Halifax Regional Municipality strongly promotes not drinking and driving and encourages the use of a designated driver.
    • Entrance with tickets only. Tickets will be available online via Eventbrite starting on June 12 , you can find more information on the Sunnyside Mall homepage at sunnysidemall.ca

Sunday June 25

  • Healthy Lifestyle Day** | DeWolf Park | 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    • Join us in one of the fitness events and get inspired. The instructors will show you ways to work on your health and have fun at the same time.
      • 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Zumba with Laura Irons
      • noon to 1 p.m. Modo Yoga
      • 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. D.a.n.c.e FIT
      • 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Pound Fit

Monday June 26

  • National Multicultural Day | 805, 793 and 771 Bedford Highway | 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
    • In celebration of the National Multicultural Day you can visit participating restaurants and enjoy free samples at this event, held in various restaurants at the plaza. There will be a sign at all participating restaurants.

Tuesday June 27

  • Arabic Night | DeWolf Park | 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
    • Arabic/English dance mixes by DJ Milad as well as drummers.

Wednesday June 28

  • Kids Extravaganza | DeWolf Park | 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
    • Bring the kids and have some fun with the mermaids, cirque show, local dance performances, and activities with the Bedford Library.  The evening ends with fireworks show for the kids.  Presented by TD Bank.
    • Rain date:  Thursday, June 29
  • Glow’s Fun Land | DeWolf Park | 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
    • Bouncy castles will be set up.  Arrive early to beat the lineups.  Tickets and bracelets are sold on site.  Note: Wednesday bracelets are only valid for Wednesday. 
    • Rain date:  Thursday, June 29

Thursday June 29

  • West Bedford Days Ice Cream Party | Tyler Sampson Park (303 Gary Martin Dr, Bedford) | 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
    • DJ, free ice cream (while quantities last), R.E.C. Van, juggler

Friday June 30

  • Movie in the Park | DeWolf Park | 9:30 p.m.
    • Enjoy a free showing of Sing 2
      Bring your blanket, lawn chair, friends and relatives.  Enjoy the show! 
    • Rain date: Sun, July 2nd

Saturday July 1 - Canada Day

  • Canada Day Pancake Breakfast* | DeWolf Park | 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
    • Enjoy delicious Sunnyside pancakes served by the Sunnyside Restaurant staff while quantities last.
  • Glow’s Fun Land | 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    • Bouncy castles - fun park for kids. Arrive early to beat the lineups! Tickets and bracelets are sold on site and not transferable to evening event.
  • Canada Day Live Music* | DeWolf Park | 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
    • Join us at the main stage for live music by Tyler Key. 
  • Kids’ Canada Day Party* | DeWolf Park | 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
    • Activities with the mermaids, a cirque show and lots more.
  • Glow’s Fun Land | DeWolf Park | 6 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.
    • Arrive early to beat the lineups.  Bouncy castles will be set up.  Tickets and bracelets for the rides are sold on site.  Note:  Bracelets purchased during the day are not valid during the evening event.  New bracelets must be purchased for the evening activities. 
  • Bedford Volunteer Fire Dept Beer Fest* (19+) | DeWolf Park | 6 p.m. to midnight
    Drink responsibly
    • An entertaining evening featuring live music and a DJ.  Cash bar. 
    • If you chose to consume alcohol, we encourage you to follow The National Low Risk Drinking Guidelines.  The Halifax Regional Municipality strongly promotes not drinking and driving and encourages the use of a designated driver.
  • Canada Day Celebrations* | DeWolf Park | 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
    • Live music from Donair Supply.  Kids entertainment. 
    • Fireworks starting at 10 p.m.

Rain date: All Canada Day events Sunday, July 2nd
