Investigators with the Sexual Assault Investigation Team of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating a sexual assault that occurred this morning in Halifax.
At 1:40 a.m. on November 29, police received a report that at approximately 1 a.m., a man in the 1500 block of South Park Street approached a 59-year-old man who was walking in the area. The unknown man punched the victim in the face several times then grabbed the victim and touched him in a sexual manner. The suspect proceeded to push the victim to the ground before fleeing the area in an unknown direction. The victim walked to the hospital and was treated and released for non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 30 to 40 years old, 5’10” with a slender build and short brown hair. There is no clothing description available.
