The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that road construction will take place next week on Gottingen Street that will require closure of the outbound lane between Cogswell and Cornwallis streets.
Work will begin Monday and will continue until next Thursday at the following times:
- Monday (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.)
- Tuesday-Thursday (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.)
Halifax Transit routes in the outbound direction will be rerouted from Cogswell Street to North Park Street to Cornwallis Street and then back onto Gottingen Street.
Outbound traffic on Gottingen St will be detoured at Cogswell Street.
Local outbound traffic will have access between Cogswell Street and Portland Place.
Pedestrian traffic and emergency vehicles will continue to have access to all of Gottingen Street throughout the closure.

Rue Gottingen – Construction routière
La Municipalité régionale d’Halifax informe les résidents et les automobilistes que des travaux routiers auront lieu au cours de la semaine prochaine sur la rue Gottingen, nécessitant la fermeture de la voie de sortie entre les rues Cogswell et Cornwallis.
Les travaux commenceront lundi et continueront jusqu’à jeudi prochain aux heures et emplacements suivants :
• Le lundi de 7 h à 19h
• Du mardi au jeudi de 9 h à 14 h
Les routes d'Halifax Transit (trafic sortant) seront redirigées de la rue Cogswell à la rue North Park jusqu'à la rue Cornwallis, puis de nouveau à la rue Gottingen.
Le trafic sortant sur la rue Gottingen sera dévié à Cogswell Street.
Le trafic sortant local aura accès entre Cogswell Street et Portland Place.
Les piétons et les véhicules d'urgence continueront d'avoir accès à toute la rue Gottingen pendant toute la durée de la fermeture.
