The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that Vernon Street will be closed for eight days, beginning tomorrow evening (Friday), between Quinpool Road and Pepperell Street.
The street closure will begin at 7 p.m. and will continue until Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 5 p.m.
Also, Quinpool Road will be reduced to one lane in both directions beginning tomorrow at 7 p.m., and lasting until Sunday at 7 p.m., from 6132 Quinpool Road (Vogue Optical) to the Vernon Street intersection.
The street closure and lane reductions are necessary in order to facilitate manhole and lateral installations at The Keep construction project.
Local traffic for residents and business deliveries will have access to Vernon Street from Pepperell Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained on both streets throughout the closures.
