13.1.1 Spring Garden Road Transit Priority Corridor [PDF]

Motion:
That the Transportation Standing Committee recommend that Regional Council:
1. Not proceed with the implementation approach described in the staff report dated March 28, 2023 for a transit priority corridor pilot project along Spring Garden Road, between South Park Street and Queen Street; and
2. Direct the CAO to continue to consider options for transit priority on Spring Garden Road as part of the broader planning for Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) implementation.
13.1.2 Amendments to Appointment of Traffic Authority and Deputy Traffic Authorities [PDF]
Motion:
That the Transportation Standing Committee recommend that Halifax Regional Council adopt the amendments to Administrative Order 12, the Appointment of the Traffic Authority, as set out in Attachment 2 of the staff report dated September 5, 2025, to:
1. adopt the amendments to Administrative Order 12, the Appointment of the Traffic Authority Administrative Order, as set out in Attachment 2 of the staff report dated September 5, 2025, to:
(a) repeal the current appointments of Brad Anguish as the Traffic Authority, Lucas Pitts as a Deputy Traffic Authority, and Roddy MacIntyre as a Deputy Traffic Authority; and
(b) appoint Roddy MacIntyre as the Traffic Authority, Jill Morrison as a Deputy Traffic Authority, and Hannah McBride as a Deputy Traffic Authority.
