At 8:32 p.m. on August 20, police responded to the U-Haul at 5280 Green Street in Halifax for a break and enter in progress. A male had smashed out the window to the business and fled the scene in a stolen U-Haul van northbound on Barrington Street.

At 8:50 p.m. on August 20, police responded to the intersection of Main Street and Ridgecrest Drive in Dartmouth to a report of a collision involving a motor vehicle and a motorcycle. The motorcycle driver, a 25-year-old man, was taken to the hospital where he died as a result of his injuries
