ENOn January 15 at 1:55 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to the intersection of Sackville Street and Queen Street in Halifax regarding an adult man who had been struck by a car. The man, who was not seriously injured, had been crossing Queen Street when he was struck by a grey Kia that fled the area. The Kia was last seen south bound on Queen Street. The Kia driver was described as a male with dark hair.

ENBeginning on or about Wednesday, January 16th Atlantic Road Construction & Paving Limited (ARCP), on behalf of Halifax Water, will begin preliminary work to relocate water and wastewater pipes that are currently located within the existing Quinpool Road Bridge which crosses the Canadian National (CN) Railway track.

ENAt approximately 1:30 a.m. on January 14, East patrol members observed a speeding SUV travelling eastbound on Highway 111 between Exits 6 and 7. The vehicle was driving dangerously and estimated to be travelling in excess of 150 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.

ENAt 4:40 a.m. on January 13, Halifax Regional Police received a report of a motor vehicle collision where a car struck a tree and fire hydrant in the 6100 block of North Street in Halifax. At 4:50 a.m. Halifax Regional Police located the suspected vehicle in the parking lot of McDonalds on Kempt Road.
