Police have charged a man for weapons and impaired driving offences in relation to an incident that occurred on the weekend.

On April 18 at 7:12 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a 911 call reporting a group of people damaging a vehicle and fighting with weapons on Catherine Street, Dartmouth.

The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that spring weight restrictions will be lifted on roads maintained by the municipality, as of as of 11:59 pm on Sunday, April 18.
