Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a series of hate crime incidents over the weekend.

On Sunday morning police responded to six incidents of racist graffiti throughout the city. In three incidents the graffiti was written directly on Synagogues. In three other incidents graffiti was written on sidewalks nearby. All incidents took place in central Halifax.

Halifax Regional Police are reporting a lost police-issued firearm magazine containing ammunition. The magazine was lost last night after it fell from an officer’s pistol during the course of their duties.

At approximately 10:00 a.m., officers responded to a weapons complaint in the 160 block of Thomas Raddall Drive in Halifax. Police received a report that a man had threatened another individual with a firearm last evening.

Police are on the scene of a single-vehicle crash on Waverley Road, in Dartmouth.

Waverley Road, from Montebello Drive to Crest Drive, is closed in both directions.

Police are asking the public to avoid the area and take alternate routes to avoid delays.

Police are on scene of a single-vehicle crash near the roundabout at Larry Uteck Blvd and Nine Mile Drive. The roundabout is closed to vehicular traffic. Police are asking the public to avoid the area and take alternate routes to avoid delays.
