    Police have charged nine people with selling cannabis after a search of an illegal cannabis dispensary in Dartmouth last Friday.

    At 9:40 p.m. on December 6, Halifax Regional Police responded to a weapons call in the 1600 block of Hollis Street in Halifax. A 19-year-old man reported earlier in the evening that he was forced into a vehicle by what appeared to be at gunpoint, held against his will and assaulted by two males. The victim sustained minor, non-life-threatening injuries and did not require medical treatment. The suspects and victim are known to one another.

    At 7:36 p.m. on Sunday, November 2, Halifax Regional Police responded to reports of five vehicles backed up on to Monaghan Drive in Halifax with a group of protesters protesting in close proximity. The situation was impacting two-way traffic and, more seriously, could have resulted in an injury to a member of the public as it posed a serious public safety threat.
