The man whom police requested the public’s assistance in identifying yesterday, in relation to an assault
that occurred in Halifax in March, has been identified.
Earlier this morning, the man turned himself into police at Police Headquarters located at 1975 Gottingen Street in Halifax.
On March 15 at approximately 1:50 p.m. a man assaulted an 11-year-old youth at the Shoppers Drug Mart on Lacewood Drive. The man was walking behind two youths as they entered the store. He pushed one of the youths, causing them to fall into the wall.
The incident remains under investigation, and we thank the public for their assistance.
