Police officers are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man who approached a girl who was on the way home from school this afternoon.
Today, March 8, between 3:05 – 3:15 p.m., a 10-year-old girl was walking home from school on Rosedale Avenue in Halifax when a man grabbed the girl by the arm and tried to drag her. The girl was able to get away from the man and went to a nearby house for help. The man was last seen running up Rosedale Avenue towards Willett Street.
The man is described to police as a white man who is approximately 5’10” tall, in his late 20’s, who was wearing a black high neck t-shirt, black hoodie, black sweatpants, a black toque with grey stitching and black sport shoes. The man had brown hair hanging out from under his toque. The man also had a flower tattoo on the left side of his neck just under his jawline.
