This week, the Halifax Regional Police Traffic Unit issued 62 tickets in relation to unsafe vehicles and other motor vehicle-related offences.

On Monday and Tuesday, Traffic members issued 62 summary offence tickets: 19 for invalid safety inspections, 11 for no insurance, seven others for equipment violations and 25 for other offences including speeding, driving without a license and using a cell phone while operating a vehicle.

In a continued effort to address traffic safety issues and citizen concerns, officers spent time in the areas of Albert Walker Drive, Dunbrack Street and Purcells Cove Road when conducting enforcement.

We all have a role to play in keeping our roads safe. If you see someone driving dangerously, report it to police by calling 911.
