Police are investigating a vehicle/pedestrian collision that occurred earlier today in Dartmouth.
At approximately 10:15 a.m. police were called to a vehicle/pedestrian collision that had occurred in the 600 block of Portland Street. A vehicle struck a woman as she was crossing Portland Street, and she was taken to hospital with life-threatening-injuries.
Investigators from the Accident Investigation Unit are on scene. The investigation is in the early stages and additional information will follow as it becomes available.
Please avoid the area to allow investigators to conduct their investigation. Portland Street is closed to traffic at Eisner Boulevard and Carver Street. Please use alternate routes to avoid delays.
