CMT community resource fairs and information events

Community Mobilization Teams (CMTs) are part of your community. Drop by any of our events to learn more about what CMTs offer. Drop by any of the events listed below to learn more about CMTs, what we do, the various community resources in your area and just meet other members of your local community.

Community Mobilization Team events

Throughout the year, CMTs host and attend various events within their communities to bring people together and build positive relationships while making the CMT more visible in their community. In raising awareness of the CMTs, residents can learn more about what they do and the community resources CMTs can connect them with for various supports. Community events promote a sense of belonging, unity and pride while breaking down stereotypes.

CMT Central North and Mulgrave Park Resource Fair

July 31, 2024 - 6:00 pm

6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Halifax North Memorial Library, 2285 Gottingen Street, Halifax. Drop in to meet the Central North and Mulgrave Park CMT. Stay for a presentation and Q&A about CMTs and refreshments. Arabic and Swahili support on site.

CMT in partnership with Preston Area Food Network Annual Community BBQ

July 31, 2024 - 11:00 am

11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Graham Creighton Junior High School, 72 Cherry Brook Road. The Annual Community BBQ is free and open to residents from North Preston, East Preston, Cherry Brook and Lake Loon communities. Lots of family fun.

Mulgrave Park Days – August 17, 2024: Find us at the Mulgrave Park Days, 12 to 7 p.m. August 17, 2024 at Mulgrave Park.
Family SOS BBQ in Spryfield – August 21, 2024: CMT staff will be in attendance at the Family SOS BBQ, 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. August 21, 2024 in Spryfield.
