Fathom Studio, on behalf of the property owner, has applied to rezone 3709 Barrington Street (PID 00019281 and 00019299) from Harbour-Related Industrial (HRI) Zone to Commercial Light Industrial (CLI) Zone.

The applicant is requesting to rezone two properties - 3709 Barrington Street (PID 00019281) and the abutting vacant lot (PID 00019299) - from the Harbour-Related Industrial (HRI) zone to the Commercial Light Industrial (CLI) zone.

The proposed rezoning would allow for a broader range of light industrial and commercial uses. No specific development is proposed at this time; any future development would follow the permitted uses and regulations of the CLI Zone.

Process

The application will be considered under the Land Use By-Law Amendment process.

Status

A public hearing will be held by Regional Centre Community Council on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Halifax City Hall (Council Chamber), 1841 Argyle Street, Halifax, NS.

Written submissions must be received by the Municipal Clerk’s Office as early as possible and not later than 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. Please allow sufficient time for delivery.
