Charges Laid in Stabbing
Investigators in the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section have charged a man in relation to the stabbing that occurred in the 100 block of Frederick Avenue this morning in Halifax.
A 27-year-old Halifax man has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace. He is being remanded into custody overnight and is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court tomorrow.

Police Continue to Investigate Stabbing Incident
The HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section is continuing to investigating a stabbing that occurred this morning in Halifax.
At 2:49 a.m., police responded to a report of an injured person inside an apartment building in the 100 block of Frederick Avenue. Officers located an injured man in his apartment who had called 911. The 52-year-old male victim, who had been stabbed, was taken to the hospital by EHS with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries. He has since been released.
Investigators with the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section are in the early stages of the investigation, and currently have a 27-year-old man in custody. At this time, investigators have determined the incident isn’t random as the parties are known to each other, and believe that alcohol may be a factor.
