Officers assigned to the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division have made an arrest in a relation to an assault that occurred in Dartmouth on Monday evening.

Shortly before 9 p.m. on October 2, police responded to an address on Gaston Road where a 59-year-old man was found with life-threatening injuries. Evidence at the scene indicated that the man was a victim of an assault at that location. EHS attended and the man was transported to the hospital for treatment, where he remains.

At 9:45 p.m. on October 3, police attended another residence on Gaston Road where they arrested a 53-year-old man from Dartmouth without incident.
