Friday, Dec. 12, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The countdown is on for the launch of Halifax Regional Municipality’s newly designed live New Year’s Eve show in Grand Parade Square. Make plans with family and friends to attend what promises to be the most innovative outdoor New Year’s Eve celebration in Atlantic Canada.
When: Wednesday, Dec. 31, 10:30 p.m. to 12 a.m.*
Where: Grand Parade Square, outside Halifax City Hall, 1841 Argyle Street, Halifax

Be sure to join us for a special, fast paced evening featuring 25 artists from eight genres of entertainment.
For the first time a Grammy Award winner will perform on the New Year’s Eve stage for a musical set. Miri Ben- Ari is an internationally acclaimed contemporary violinist. In addition to playing at the White House for the President and Michelle Obama, this incredibly talented musician has worked with some of the biggest stars in music; Jay-Z, Wyclef Jean, Armin Van Buuren, Alicia Keys and Kanye West. Ben-Ari won her Grammy Award in 2005 as one of the co-writers of Kanye West’s Jesus Walks.
The evening will kick off with a DJ set by Neon Dreams, and then local favorite Party Boots will host an entertainment extravaganza including performances by Carson Downey and Atlantic Cirque. Huge video screens and visual effects on stage will enhance the live show and delight the audience.
Ring in the New Year with Mayor Mike Savage and witness the most exciting fireworks show in Nova Scotia.
It will be a night to remember.
