Halifax Regional Police is investigating a stabbing that occurred overnight in Halifax.
At approximately 2:52 a.m., officers responded to a report of an injured person in the 0-100 block of Evans Avenue, Halifax. Officers located a 55-year-old man who had been stabbed inside a residence. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is in the early stages. There is no suspect description at this time. A police presence will remain in the area as the investigation continues.
