The Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting residents to attend the Grand Oasis Grand Reunion Finale Weekend.
Festivities begin on Friday, August 26, with Matt Anderson and the Big Bottle of Joy performing on the Grand Oasis Stage in Grand Parade, at 7 p.m.. The Carson Downey Band will be the opening act.
On Saturday, August 27, April Wine will perform at the Alderney Landing Stage beginning at 5 p.m.. Jody Upshaw and DeeDee Austin will be the opening act. Then, beginning at 7 p.m., DVSN (OVO/Toronto) will be performing at the Grand Oasis Stage in Grand Parade, with Preston Pablo, Nicole Ariana, and Zamani as the opening acts.
Celebrations will continue with the internationally celebrated Cirque Spectacle, featuring a life-size octopus puppet and an acrobat performance piece created by Simon Rioux of Quebec City, proceeding along the Halifax Waterfront, between Sackville Landing and Queens Marque, at 8 p.m.. This will be followed by the biggest fireworks display since Tall Ships at 10 p.m. The fireworks will be launched from a barge located in the Halifax Harbour, between the Halifax Waterfront and Ferry Terminal Park in Dartmouth.

La Municipalité régionale d’Halifax invite les résidents à participer à la fin de semaine finale de la série Grand Reunion de Grand Oasis.
Les festivités commencent le vendredi 26 août à 19 h avec un spectacle de Matt Anderson and the Big Bottle of Joy sur la scène Grand Oasis à la place Grand Parade. Le groupe Carson Downey Band fera le numéro d’ouverture.
Le samedi 27 août, April Wine se produira sur la scène Alderney Landing à compter de 17 h. Jody Upshaw et DeeDee Austin assureront le numéro d’ouverture. DVSN (OVO/Toronto) se produira ensuite sur la scène Grand Oasis de la place Grande Parade à partir de 19 h, avec des numéros d’ouverture de Preston Pablo, Nicole Ariana et Zamani.
Les célébrations se poursuivront avec le Cirque Spectacle, louangé sur la scène internationale, qui présentera un numéro d’acrobatie créé par Simon Rious de la Ville de Québec. Le spectacle se donnera à 20 h le long du secteur riverain d’Halifax, entre Sackville Landing et Queens Marque. Ce spectacle sera suivi à 22 h du plus grand feu d’artifice depuis celui des Grands voiliers. Les feux d’artifice seront lancés depuis une barge située dans le port d’Halifax, entre le secteur riverain d’Halifax et le parc Ferry Terminal de Dartmouth.
