Police have charged a man in relation to a robbery that occurred in Halifax on the weekend.
On May 15 at approximately 2:40 a.m. police responded a report of a robbery that had just occurred in the 5400 block of Spring Garden Road. A man armed with a knife demanded money from three men who were walking in the area and assaulted one of the men. Officers arrested the suspect who was still in the area and seized the knife.
Cyril Bradley Mercury, 38, is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face charges of:
- Robbery (x 3)
- Assault with a weapon (x 3)
- Uttering threats (x 3)
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Failure to comply with condition of release order
- Failure to comply with undertaking
