A vehicle’s stopping distance increases when it’s slippery so allow extra space between your vehicle and the one ahead of you. When approaching a red light or stop sign, begin stopping earlier to help prevent sliding into the intersection.
Motorists are reminded to keep a watchful eye out for pedestrians, particularly at intersections and crosswalks, and pedestrians are reminded to make eye contact with drivers and wait until the vehicle comes to a complete stop before attempting to cross the road.
