At approximately 3:30 a.m. on March 5, a West Division patrol officer pulled over a vehicle that was operating without the tail lights on. Upon investigation, the officer discovered that the driver was not licensed, the vehicle was not insured and did not have a valid inspection sticker. As a result, the officer issued three summary offence tickets to the driver and seized the vehicle.

When the vehicle was being placed upon the tow truck, the officer discovered that the vehicle also had faulty brakes and the rear axle was cracked and separated.

Through education and enforcement, members of the Traffic Unit and Patrol Division are working to keep our streets and roads safe for citizens. HRP would like to remind drivers to always make sure that their vehicle is roadworthy.
