Four men and two female youths face drugs and weapons charges after a drug search last night in Halifax.
At approximately 11 p.m., officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated Drug Unit, executed a search warrant on Convoy Avenue in Fairview. The officers seized the following during the search:
- approximately 650 grams of cocaine valued at $65,000
- approximately 13,000 doses of LSD (acid) valued at $128,000 - approximately 250 doses of ecstasy and hydromorphone valued at $3,600
- a quantity of cash
- two loaded rifles and ammunition
- bullet proof vest
- drug paraphernalia
Twenty-five-year-old Jose Manuel Acosta, 24-year-old Matthew Francis Coaker, 21-year-old Neil MacDonald and 21-year-old Clayton Daniel Cromwell, all of Halifax, were arrested and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court today. A 13-year-old female youth from Sambro and a 17-year-old female youth from Herring Cove were also arrested and will appear in Halifax Provincial Youth Court today. They are all facing numerous drug trafficking and weapons-related offences.
