Update: Work will continue tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be stop-and-go traffic while work is underway.
The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that road construction will take place today on Portland Street between Alderney Drive and Pleasant Street.
Crews will be on site until 4 p.m. Access to local businesses will be maintained at all times.
Motorists are asked to use an alternative route whenever possible.
The municipality appreciates your patience while this work is completed.
