Police lay drug and weapon charges
Drug and weapon charges have been laid against two people in Halifax.
On February 28, 2025, police executed search warrants at residences on Wood Avenue and Piers Avenue in Halifax in relation to an ongoing drug investigation.
As a result of the investigation and search, the following persons have been charged:
Barbara Evelyn Kelsie, 54
- Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of psilocybin for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of hydromorphone for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling
- Possession of proceeds obtained by crime under $5,000
Margaret Jane Bezanson, 40
- Possession of a prohibited weapon
Both will appear in Halifax provincial court at a later date.
