Police investigate weapons incident

Halifax Regional Police is investigating an incident where a firearm was observed in Bedford yesterday and are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects.

At approximately 6:05 p.m. police received a report of a disturbance at a business in the 700 block of the Bedford Highway. Three people attended the business, but they were refused service because they failed to provide identification. After a disagreement, the suspects eventually left the business. A short time later, they returned to the business. Two of the suspects approached the employee, one suspect showed what is believed to be a firearm and threatened them. The employee was not physically injured.

The suspect who had the firearm is described as a man in his late teens to early 20s, with a slim build, short dark hair and was clean shaven. He was wearing a white t-shirt, dark jeans with a belt, white sneakers and a kit bag slung over his left shoulder.

The second suspect is described as a man in his late teens to early 20s, with a slim build, approximately 5'10” tall, with short dark hair and facial hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt, a light-coloured hat, blue jeans, sneakers, multiple chains around his neck and a cast on his left arm.

The third suspect is described as a white woman, with dark coloured shoulder length hair. She was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with a logo on the front, black spandex pants, sandals and a bright coloured baseball hat.

The suspect vehicle is a white 4 door BMW car with a sunroof, silver rims and red interior seats.
