Police Investigate Theft from Vehicle and Arrest Suspect
At 3:22 a.m., on November 4, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a Theft from Vehicle in progress in the 0-50 block of Plateau Crest, Halifax. The caller reported the suspect when confronted produced a sword. The suspect fled on foot. Patrol officers with a Police Service Dog tracked the suspect to the area of Alex Street and Main Avenue. Officers arrested the suspect, still armed with a sword, without incident. Officers confirmed no one was injured. A 22-year-old man from Halifax is held for court facing Assault with a Weapon, Possession of a Weapons for Dangerous Purpose, Trespass by Night and Mischief.
