Wednesday, July 27, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that road work will begin on Friday and continue into Saturday on Main Street between Ridgecrest Drive and Forest Hills Parkway.
Due to the nature and location of the work, Ridgecrest (at Main Street) will be closed to through traffic for the entirety of the project. A detour will be set up to show motorists that they will have to enter the subdivision through Brigadoon Avenue.
Crews will be on site on Friday from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m., and then from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturday. Sunday is a rain date in case work cannot proceed on either Friday or Saturday.
Motorists should expect delays in the area and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible. The municipality apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this road work may cause.
