Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that beginning Thursday morning at 7 a.m., Hornes Road in Eastern Passage will be closed between the Cow Bay and Caldwell roads.
Hornes Road will be closed for approximately four weeks to facilitate the replacement of the Hornes Road Bridge.
The work includes removing the existing bridge and constructing a new one. A temporary pedestrian bridge will be installed near the location of the existing bridge to accommodate foot traffic while construction work is underway.
Local traffic will be detoured around the work site via Briarwood Drive.
The municipality apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this closure and detour may cause.
