Halifax Regional Police responded to a head on collision involving three vehicles that occurred earlier this morning at the intersection of Jubilee Road and Oxford Street in Halifax.
At approximately 6:45 a.m., a Jeep Grand Cherokee was travelling southbound on Oxford Street and a Toyota Corolla was travelling northbound on Oxford Street. As the Jeep was travelling through the intersection, it collided with the Corolla which had been attempting to make a left hand turn onto Jubilee Road. The collision resulted in a third vehicle, a Pontiac Wave travelling northbound, being struck. Fortunately, only one person sustained a minor injury and was treated at the scene by EHS.
A 42-year-old male driver was charged under the Motor Vehicle Act and issued a summary offence ticket for a Section 111b – unsafe lane change.
