Friday, January 17, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The Emera Oval is open today, Friday January 17 at 12 p.m. for skating. The Emera Oval had been closed over the past few days due to warmer temperatures. Today, the cooler temperatures are allowing the chillers to continue to keep the ice frozen on the oval for skating.
Residents can check out the Emera Oval calendar for scheduled skate times and possible cancelations.
As well, the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Hockey Day at the Emera Oval for Saturday, January 18 has been cancelled as rain has been forecasted.
