The HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section has laid charges in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred earlier today in Halifax.
At 8:14 a.m., officers responded to a disturbance in the 2300 block of Gottingen Street. Officers located a 37-year-old woman who had been stabbed after an argument with another woman known to her. Officers arrested a 46-year-old woman at the scene without incident. The victim was taken to hospital by EHS for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. A knife was also recovered in the area.
The 46-year-old woman appeared in Halifax Provincial Court earlier today to face charges of attempted murder, assault with a weapon, and aggravated assault.
