Application for a development agreement to permit the construction of townhouse-style multi-unit buildings at 229 Beaver Bank Rd., Beaver Bank.
Proposal
The applicant wishes to enter into a development agreement to construct 5 townhouse-style multi-unit buildings.
The major aspects of the proposal are as follows:
- The intention is to subdivide the lot in two, with the existing single-unit dwelling to remain on its own parcel of land.
- The proposed road will be privately owned.
- 5 buildings with 17 total units.
The Development Plans (provided below) outline the development proposal in detail, and include information related to the layout of the site, traffic impacts, stormwater management, and planning rationale.
Process
The application will be considered under the Development Agreement Process.
Status
The timeline for public feedback from the mail out has ended, all comments received from the public will be included in the staff report. The public is still able to provide comments at anytime and is encouraged to reach out to the planner, contact information can be found at the bottom of this page
Staff will now create a staff report to be presented to North West Community Council for consideration. Should Community Council wish to consider the proposal, a public hearing must be held first. A mail out will be sent to the neighbouring area to provide notice of the public hearing, in addition to a notice being posted on this website.
Documents Submitted for Evaluation
The applicant has submitted plans and studies required by HRM staff to properly evaluate the application. The documents are also available for review at the Planning Applications office in Downtown Halifax.
